Thanks! I'm still pretty much blown away. I was up against some excellent writers, so I was fairly shocked when Clive Cussler called out my name. (As you will no doubt be able to tell from the pictures.) _________________ -- Jeff Edwards

Not exactly. Do enough pub crawls and you'll stop caring that you don't look "all slim & trim like el Jefe" |
Yeah. I gave up worrying about how I look a LONG time ago. My days of being young and cute are long gone...

Outstanding Jeff, Congratulations! Clive Cussler has been one of my favorite authors since I was one week out of Boot Camp in RTC San Diego. I saw The Mediterranean Caper in the exchange and bought it on a whim. (I had barracks duty that night and knew I'd need something to read.) I've been a loyal fan since and have two signed books (He seems to hang around Tucson quite a bit and by Buddy always gets two books at the signings.)
I have had Torpedo sitting in my stack for awhile. To be honest, since the onset of the diabetes I have a hard time reading longer than about an hour, my eyes fatigue too soon. So my reading has fallen from a book a week to about a book a month. But I will move your book to the top of the list in honor of your recognition from the master, and in anticipation of a great read!
Congratulations again!

Thanks! I'm still grinning over the award. For all of their success, Clive and Dirk Cussler are two of the nicest guys you're ever going to meet. It was so much fun to hang out with them.
My agent is working furiously to get The Seventh Angel into your hands as quickly as possible. We also just got back the rights to Torpedo a couple of weeks ago, so there should be a new edition in the not-too-distant future. In the meantime, I'm working hard on the third USS Towers novel. _________________ -- Jeff Edwards

Okay, Jeff, what's the latest on 'The Seventh Angel'? I was told the Japanese version hit the shelves in March, but the US edition... ??
Anxiously awaiting...

Unfortunately, Jeff is too busy these days to jump on any time soon.
You are correct the Japanese verion hit the shelves in March. The US rights are still pending.
However, if you will allow me to change the subject back to Torpedo...
Y'all knew we were working with a producer. Well we've added a screen writing team since we last updated - and they finished the screen play this summer. It is now being considered by a director.
Slowly but surely our Hollywood team is being pulled together!
Will keep you posted as more happens.
*Feel free to e-mail me if we haven't posted in a while. Trouble is - things just move slower than molasses at times... _________________ -- Maria Edwards
