As Mr. Clancy put forward in "Executive Orders" that street police officers might make good candidates for field agents in intelligence, it sort of caught my attention that one of our CIA personnel lost in Afghanistan recently had law enforcement experience, as well as a special operations background.
He died an expectant father. Sad, and shows that an infiltrator can get past even the best people on defense sometimes.

I wonder if the CIA looked into police backgrounds more after Sept. 11, 2001 when they were looking to hire new people?
