The new one or the first one? A friend had the latter, and it was enough for me to decide I'm not ready for the "brave new world" of Kindle, or any other method of reading books beside the old fashioned way.
[Caveate - as much time as I spend on reading s[tuff] at/for work on a computer screen, and as much trouble as I have doing it {60mumble Y.O. eyes, myopic to start with and now presbyopic besides, requiring four eyeglass prescriptions} - I'm not ready for the kindle, 1st or 2nd, version, or anyone else that comes up with a similar "book in a handheld computer.]
However, I will order Strike Group Reagen, in hard copy, in due course (e.g., when it is available promptly without a long hold on my CC, since I am semi-retired and living on a semi-fixed income, a low semi-fixed income). |

I bought the first model when it came out; upgraded to the Kindle 2 mostly because of the better form factor (it fits in a jacket pocket where the first didn't quite).
I do most of my reading on the Kindle these days. My eyes are about the same age as yours, but I guess I picked better parents - I'm comfortable reading the smallest font size on the Kindle without glasses. Note that it's _not_ a "computer screen" - it's electrophoretic e-ink, much closer to a print-on-paper experience than any LCD or CRT can give you.
To each his own -

Got my first check... in the book's first month, it averaged about 5 books sold a day!
If you have bought it, thanks!
and that you, everyone, for your support! _________________ Strategypage.com Contributor
